Online Poker Cards Cheats

Marked Cards and Loaded Dice

One way to protect you against cheats is to see that the Cards cheats are cut properly. During World War II, Mr. John Scarne perfected a cut to combat crooked poker gambling in the armed forces, and card detective Frank Garcia came up with the following variation in his Marked Cards and Loaded Dice:
1. From the middle of the pack, extract two separate packets and put them in a separate pile, one atop the other.
2. Place the remainder of the deck atop this pile.
3. Now cut the deck again.
This procedure will take somewhat longer than a conventional cut and the other players (especially the stacker) Will cluck impatiently. Let them. Be a turtle. The Garcia cut hopelessly strews any stack all through the deck, and what you lose in time you will save in money. What can be done when you catch a cheat? Nothing, legally. You can’t often prove anything in court. Moreover, if you "take the law into your own hands" you may end up in court yourself on some sort of assault charge-or you could even get yourself shot if the cheat feels cornered. So, a more level-headed approach is desirable.

Cheats Detection

Some tips are available for other games like omaha and holdem. If a professional cheat like a number-two man worms his way into a social game, he’ll usually leave if you let him know that you suspect him. I once "detected" a mechanic in a private game whose seconds looked good but sounded almost as though he were dealing sheets of sandpaper. Actually, I suspected the guy the first night I saw him. There was just something about him.... But he didn’t try anything fancy that first night. Nor the second. But on the third night he brought his buddy. He called Five-Card on one of his deals. His dealing went along smoothly-then a swishing sound started. His accomplice caught a king up, and he dealt himself an ace. When the ace fell, he smiled and said, "Well, what-da-ya-know?" "It looked pretty good," I said.
Quickly the guy cut his eyes my way. He knew that I suspected him. On my next deal, I let the light glare off the top of a few of the cards. The aces and kings had a slight diagonal impress in the left comers, apparently made with the

Detect Cheats and Give the Tip

If you detect a cheat in a house game, talk privately to the man who runs the joint. If he is honest, or a good businessman, he will appreciate your tip. Then if his observations bear out your suspicions, he will ask the cheat not to come back.
Some house games, however, are run by cheats. Some private online poker games are, too. In this case, I suggest that you do as I did when I caught a group of football players passing cards to each other back when I was a freshman in college. Did I slap a tackle and punch a guard in the nose? No. I stood up, straightened my tie, and said, "Excuse me, gentlemen, but I have an algebra exam in the morning. In this case you should split the openers-but, in general, do not split aces or kings unless you have good reason to believe that they are beaten going in.
